The creative question
Will this feel special enough as a gift?
Who it's for
Gift buyers judging small jewellery from a photo, who can’t feel the packaging or see how the gold catches light.
The idea and the hook
Let the gift open itself, then use a macro of the hinged post so they read clearly as earrings.
“unboxing the gift i’d want to get” over the ribboned box, as window light rakes across the bow.
The demo creative approach
The piece follows the order a present is opened in: the ribbon slips, the lid floats away and the tissue drapes back by itself. Two macros follow, the pair on velvet and then one post swinging open and clicking shut, before a gift card slides from the lid. Lowercase caption chips keep the phone-video feel.
Development
Three frames that carried the decisions, in the order they appear in the film.
-

Hook: the box still tied, a first-person caption, and window light catching the foil wordmark. -

The reveal has no caption. With no hands in shot, the gold on velvet is the only thing to look at. -

The macro swings one post open, so a plain gold hoop can’t be mistaken for a ring.
