The creative question

Will a laptop stand work where people actually work?

Who it's for

Remote workers who move between a desk, the kitchen and the sofa, and assume a stand only belongs on a desk.

The idea and the hook

One stand, three places. The fold is the product demonstration.

The chosen hook

A flat aluminium slab slides in with the line “This is a laptop stand.”

The demo creative approach

We wrote the film around the fold itself: the stand opens on the desk, then the camera travels to a counter and a sofa, each with its own angle. A clean flat-vector world keeps attention on the hinge, and the closing fold into a tote answers the portability question without a voiceover.

Development

Three frames that carried the decisions, in the order they appear in the film.

  1. Hook: a flat slab and a deadpan line, “This is a laptop stand.” Its thinness is the surprise.
  2. Third room, steepest angle. Desk, counter and sofa each get their own setting, so the fold is the demonstration.
  3. The fold into a tote answers portability without a voiceover.
